Cycling club from Dresden · Licensed to race all over Germany

Don't ride your season alone.

Concordia Dresden e. V. is a club for everyone who races, whether for fifteen years or since last summer. Get your licence through us, share your races with the club and stop standing alone on the start line.

What drives us

Most people don't stop because they get slower.

They skip signing up for one race, then for the next, and at some point nobody lines up any more.

That doesn't happen when someone knows you're starting on Sunday.

Your level

Where are you right now?

Racing is more than riding fast. With a club you keep going, step by step, wherever you start.

  1. No race yet

You like riding fast but have never pinned on a number.

Next step: find an amateur race that suits you.

  2. Amateur races done

You already ride amateur races and want more.

Next step: your first licence and starting in licensed races.

  3. With a licence

You have a licence and are looking for a team.

Next step: licensed races in the club jersey.

  4. Next level

You want to go further up.

Next step: higher classes, with our experience from the Bundesliga and Continental level.

How far you go is up to you. Every step gets celebrated.

What you get

So someone is beside you at the start.

Four things you have from day one as a member.

  • Licensed to race all over Germany

You get your licence through the club. We go through the application with you, wherever you live.

  • Knowing who starts where

In the club group you see who rides which races and travel there together instead of deciding alone.

  • Answers to the questions nobody answers

Which race suits you, what it costs, what happens in the first five kilometres: whoever already knows tells you.

  • Never on your own

You ride in the club jersey, the group is right there with you, and where members live near you, we bring you together.

Who we are

“What counts here is that you want to race. Not where you are right now.”

Arthur and Gustav Lenné, the founders of Concordia

We're Arthur and Gustav Lenné, brothers and founders. We've raced since we were ten, Gustav as an elite rider up to the Bundesliga, Arthur up to Continental level. That we got that far we owe to our youth club, which took us along step by step.

Many people don't have a club like that. Because they start later, come from another sport, live where there isn't a suitable one, or simply don't know anyone who already races. That's who we're building Concordia for.

The steps exist. We'll show you.

In three steps

How you get to the start line

  1. Become a member

One form, €10 a month, reduced €5. As soon as your fee has arrived, you are a member and join the club group.

  2. Get your licence

First licence or switching from your old club: we go through the application with you and submit it.

  3. Enter your season

Tell us in the club group which races you want to ride. Then you see who is riding the same ones.

Why we exist

A place where you belong.

Anyone who starts racing finds everything: bikes, training plans, jerseys in every price range. Just no place to belong. Above them ride teams named after their financier and from no town in particular. Next to them stand brands that sell belonging, which you then live out alone on your Sunday loop.

What's missing is what every other sport takes for granted: a club, a team, an away weekend, a season you get through together.

Concordia comes from Dresden. Our members live everywhere, just like at any other club that has a home and people all over Germany. And we are open at the top: in every other sport the first team grows out of the club. In cycling, it should be that way again.

Good to know

Questions? Sure.

Am I good enough?

Yes. There's no entry barrier: if you want to race, you're in the right place, whatever level you're on.

I've never raced. Am I too early?

No, that's exactly what we're here for. You don't need a licence for your first amateur race. We help you find a race that fits and answer every question beforehand.

I already ride licensed races. Is this for me too?

Absolutely. You ride in the club jersey, swap notes with people riding the same races and benefit from our experience in the Bundesliga and at Continental level.

Do I have to live in Dresden?

No. The club group is online and we help you with your licence from anywhere. Someone from the club won't be next to you at every race, but you never ride without a club behind you.

Do I need a licence?

Not for amateur races. For licensed races you do. When you're ready, we go through the application with you.

I'm already in a club. How does switching work?

You get your licence through us, whether it's your first or a switch from your old club. We go through the application with you and submit it. How a start in the Concordia jersey works for you, we work out together.

What happens after I sign up?

We get back to you in writing. As soon as your fee has arrived, you're a member, and we bring you into the club group.
